Georgia...is still on my mind

Since we spent as much time in Savannah,GA as we did in Orlando I'm gonna combine the pictures that we took for the purpose of making 1 post.
First off, let me start off with how beautiful this state really is.
I wouldn't mind vacationing here again and taking more tours of Savannah and taking more time to walk around and of course having a better camera that doesn't die after you take 400 pictures a day.
Yes, I re-charged the battery, but the camera is just plain old tired.
I hope you can see beyond the picture quality because some of these pictures don't do Georgia the justice & some of the pictures that you will see, while we were on the tour guided tram, were taken while driving....the guide only stopped for traffic lights , so we had to pass the camera back and forth to get shots.

The boys while we were at the the Welcome Center

This is along the streets at a College in Savannah.
I just love these mossy trees & took lots of pictures of them.

These are shots taken while we were on our tour guided tram before the camera died. These are the ones that were taken while the tram was in motion so please excuse the tilted and unframed shots.

This happens to be a famous movie spot in Savannah.
This is where the bench in Forrest Gump was put in the movie where the sign and flowers are when Forrest was sitting on the bench sharing his stories about Jenny and him.
Later that day we saw a guy dressed as Gump walking around and that night the movie was on HBO in our room.
It was awesome.

was taking a picture of the buildings, but sweet ride too !

Strange down spout...a fish head.

The Park squares were so pretty and well kept.

These 2 houses are called the twins

This cemetery has alot of history and sad stories.
Most of the headstones were moved after people started digging up their loved ones and taking them to be buried somewhere else and alot of stones were moved around so instead of guessing where the remaining coffins and loved ones are the headstones were all moved up against a wall so no one has to guess or trespass on another persons resting place.

When we were walking around and came back to this spot to visit the cemetery, our camera had already died :(

This wall is original and still functional as the day it was built so long ago...so pretty too.

Coming up next, an original cobblestone road still used today.
It is along the waterfront of the canals.
The side walk is in brick.

Some shots of bars and restaurants.

This is a statue dedicated to a woman who helped her brother in the light tower and waved at each passing ship as it came to port.

And finally......we arrived at the place I wanted to visit.
Yup, Paula Deens restaurant in Savannah
The Lady & Sons
First we went in the store to grab some goodies.

Her shirts were a hoot
The shirt in the middle says: put a little South in your mouth..hee hee

And another fave.... in the middle

Tastes like butter

You have to stand in line outside to get a seat in her restaurant and we had lots more sight seeing to do, so we decided to move on.
Still wish we would have eaten there.

This is the last shot when the camera died, right outside the Lady & Sons

I wanted a shot of me and my boys , but it died.
So mad , but what are you gonna do.
I think we will make it back to Savannah someday.
There are a few military bases we could request in Georgia & we may do that after Germany...that way we would be closer to Disney World too...
That is a trip we intend to take when we get back stateside and Marcel will be old enough and taller without restrictions.
