Another nature walk....Brookfield

This is a trail very close to our house.
It is along the Black River.
We brought Bella along this day too.
She does so well with us.
We started doing these trails August 8th & 9th.

Our beautiful wide trail.

L♥ve the LiLyPaDs.

We got close to the water to play in it alittle.
Bella got to swim too.

The mid point where we make our way back around.

Yup, you can fish and canoe off these banks.

Playing around before we load up the truck to go back home.

Don't know why some of the shots are blurry.
I didn't change any settings or mess with anything, but as my hubby agrees, it is time for a new camera.
Hopefully soon, at least before Germany.

Nature Walk at Chaumont Barrens Preserve

Since Mark has been home, we have been trying to walk at all the trails around town before Winter hits and we leave the area for Germany. There are about 15 or so trails and this one is called Chaumont Barrens Preserve.

This particular day was very warm and we drove awhile to get to it. There are lot of very pretty plants and foliage in the area and here are a few that I got pictures of.

So we started down this very narrow path, it almost looked like a forgotten path. I could have used a machete to knock some branches and bushes out of the way.

There were breaks in the rocks and ground that looked cool like this one.

We had Bella with us so it wasn't too scary being so far away from town, she would protect us from whatever was lurking at us. As beautiful as it was , it was also creepy too. Traveling out to the place you pass cemeteries & drive out to the middle of like nowhere and then there it is...all wildernessy and wild.

1 of our stops along the way.

There were these cute little numbered markers along the trail, some we missed and some we saw.

Once again the little path.

Some parts were out in the open & then some were in hidden in the trees.

It was so freaky, it started to remind me of the Blair Witch Project the further we walked into these sticks.

These rock holes were really neat....wish the camera were better to really capture it.

This particular tree, reminds me of Hagrids Hut...or a cupcake

It was beautiful, green, creepy & cool all rolled into 1.
