The begining of Summertime Fun

The weather has started to turn towards Summer.....but the weather out here is only good for 6 hours...it literally stormed 2 days after this.
I wish I could put a pool in , but Bella would tear it up.
But why buy a pool when I can pop next door, that's just as good.
That's me staying out of the sun.....

First Soccer game May 18th

Mattias picked his number and got the one he wanted...#9
It just made his day.
Shout out to his dad...
He was so nervous...& excited...
turn the volume up cuz it recorded super low.

Group huddle...see his number.

In the face off.

After the game....running in for a drink...good job

Phone call from Iraq....do accept this call????

Mark, this was the boys while I was talking to you outside of Target after the parade.
They were pretending to talk too....

....and last pose before we hang up, still pretending....

Military appreciation Parade...May 16th

Military Appreciation
We came to show our support even though we are active participants everyday.
Its a small town with alot of Veterans and Active & Reserve duty members.
One thing I noticed about the parades here, people don't crowd you....the route is pretty long and people spread out pretty good and always make room for more.
We sat in front of a truck that had a flatbed and the guy who owned it had his family and few others that he didn't know join him up there, that's just how country folk are....super nice and giving around here.

Marcel & the other 2 waiting for the parade to get to us.

Here it comes.....

Fort Drum

The band....

Next were the people who help decorate the Airfield as the troops fly in from being deployed.

Of course housing had to represent....I want a red or blue house someday...maybe when we come back stateside we can get Drum again or close to CA.

Paying my respects to my girl scouts

......And now the vets in their cars
They had some sweet ass rides ......

for you mom....pink & yellow

MUSCLE CARS

A VET IN A 'VETTE

As the floats and cars were passing by they were also throwing candy to all the kids....Matty asked my why didn't I have a bag to put all the candy in ??? really kid ???....

I made them give half their loot to the kids in the truck bed above us since they didn't get any from the ground like my scavengers did...
They were not very happy about that....oh well

Marcel asked if this was Wall-E..... AWE

They stopped in front of us too.....but Marcel started to cry so he went to the other side.

The Bugle Boys...

...And that was the end of the parade...
The End

FYI...dates

The zoo & Circus took place on Friday May 15th.
So these are current events....

The Circus came to town.....

The same day of the Zoo field trip was the first night of the Circus, so I decided I would start & end my day with animals.
The circus was held in the junior colleges arena due to weather.
We got in alittle late cuz we ate out and dessert took a long time.
Here are our seats at the end in chairs.
Wish we got seats in the bleachers, but this was cool. We sat right next to the sphere cage where the motorcycle stunts were.
Probably the most excitement the boys could see really good.

Matt with his bag of peanuts...

One of my favorite parts of the evening, during the national anthem, the ringmaster was saluting the flag & so did my boys....I was so proud & and even a few tears...

The lions and tigers were so beautiful, they strolled past us and were in the ring furthest from us.

the boys during the show

I felt so bad cuz they all wanted the light sabers that everyone had....they were 15 bucks....I said sorry

Instead I got them an elephant ride that cost me 20, they loved it, but poor Marcel was too small to ride.

Getting back to our seats before the 2nd half.

So they say that the circus is for the whole family....I guess this was the part for the daddies, it was literally like stripper dancing in the air. The boys loved it & of course it was hanging in the ring in front of us.

I broke down and bought them these nifty glow necklaces....they were 5 bucks a piece...and they were fine after they got the blinking lights.

End of the evening is near, the motor cycles were coming out

It was loud and awesome....right in front of us.
The exhaust sucked.....
Then it was time to bring out the elephants...they were cool

I must say I've never been to the circus and not seen any clowns...
Where were the clowns???

A day at the zoo with Ronans Pre-k class

I volunteered to go on Ronans first field trip.
It was a Friday & we had plans to visit the park after the zoo.
These are my monsters before breakfast & before they both spilled cereal all over their clothes 20 minutes before we left.

The class met at the zoo for school that day.
The event was rain or shine and it was pretty close to rain.

Below is Ronan and some buddies doing the all hands in the middle and then break, only they were chanting about Super Mario Bros.

Below is Ronan touching Hissing Madagascar Beetle...big F'ing cockaroach if you ask me...I was surprised he didnt scream and try to step on it.
Wish I had a better camera....Marcel wanted in on the action so he sat next to Ronan.
This was a baby hedgehog.....and of course both my kids and a few others were asking if it was baby sonic the hedgehog....
This is a Caribou...and yes they have fur on their antlers.

Being so cultured like my boys are they immediately assumed this was Hedwig from Harry Potter.....People must think my kids are babysat by Wii Games & Movies....LOL :D

The Bears were out this time....last time we went to the zoo the bears were still hibernating.
Looking through the peep hole....
Climbing in the makeshift Bear Cave.

The field trip ended and the kids went to the park.
Marcel played on the tire bridge for the first time all by himself...my baby is growing so fast.

I was trying to capture the fog....it was pretty

My monkeys playing....

Ronans buddies :Isaac, Kannan, Ronan, & John
Marcel is in the forefront.

Playing around after most of the class went home.
